It sold in 1998. W. Ames Curtright is the previous owner and founder-inventor of Oregon Research and Development Corporation (ORD).

Ames Research Laboratories’ corporate office and manufacturing plant are located in Oregon. Ames Research Laboratories is committed to creating and manufacturing the finest quality elastomeric coatings and paints on the market today.

Ames Research Laboratories manufactures high quality elastomeric products including Snow Seal, Super Elasto-Barrier and Iron Coat (Roofing Products) as well as paints, primers, and coatings. Some of our latest products are Ames’ Paint & Prime, Safe-T-Deck, Block & Wall, Vapor-Barrier, and Maximum-Stretch. More innovative Ames products will be coming soon. Our products are sold in one gallon, five gallon, and fifty-five gallon containers and totes.

Our Warehouses
Ames Research Laboratories’ manufacturing plant is located in Salem, Oregon. We have warehouses located in Savannah, Georgia; Cranbury, New Jersey; and Dallas, Texas; With more warehouses opening soon in Honolulu, Hawaii; Vancouver, British Columbia; Toronto, Ontario; and Minneapolis, Minnesota.
